Yes, this is a lazy man topic and this is what I am right now. When you have nothing to do and staying home, this is what you do to kill time. Obviously, there is not much to talk about if we see eating and sleeping as separate issues. We are talking about eating and sleeping.

Firstly, to be eating and sleeping freely, yea, you must be damn free. It had been a long time since I had all the time in the world to eat and sleep and I had been doing exactly that these few days given the condition of the leg. I bet you must be damn free to be reading this meaningless piece of trash that I am writing with my sleepy mind.

One shouldn’t sleep right after eating. Everyone knows that (maybe the fattys don’t), but right after eating, we feel sleepy and everybody knows that too. This is not so healthy as we know is really not healthy. So please avoid sleeping after eating. Do something meaningful like blogging about meaningless things like this.

Sleeping is free and when you are too free, you sleep. And the good thing about it is, the more you sleep the more tired you are. So congratulations, this is never going to end and one day, you will become a fat slob and unhealthy pig, which may not be so free afterall, considering the doctor’s fee and the rejection from society. Yea. I’ve reached Pasir Ris when I fell. Took me 15 minutes to walk home. Lao cheebye. Now it’s not only the pain from the road burn. It is the bruising pain from the impact of the fall that is worrying me.

I put it here to that I don’t need to go youtube to listen it over and over again. One of the best songs I’ve heard.

Anyone who knows me well enough knows that I don’t like watching television. In fact, I think teevee is evil. It takes away precious time and bonding with friends. It makes you stupid and worsens your communication skills.

Although the advancement of technology has made us watch less teevee, which should be a good thing, but the very substitute we call the internet not only gives us full access to everything, it also lets us choose the junk. Documentaries and news no longer interests you. The latest Korean drama and Heroes do.

If any of you realise, none of what is shown on tv are true hard facts. Shows have to be made to attract viewers in order to survive. Even news are made in a way to trigger certain emotions (fear, sadness) in you.

We all know that dramas are trash. And the fact that you are addicted to it makes you a piece of junk. The square box (recently rectangular and flat) is in complete control of you. You can’t lose the remote. You are shit.

Children who have access to these junk at a young age show signs of attention deficit and violent behaviour. Indirect effects includes obesity and myopia. I can’t explain why I am fat and short-sighted though.

The only healthy form of television, in my opinion, are sports. People who don’t watch sports can be separated into two kinds. One, they do not have access to it. Two, they just don’t like it. (they are fat and myopic, remember? Sports will never be their bottle of coke cup of tea).

Those are the only channels where you see real winners who fight. It is a pity that we can’t have sports channels free here. They train for years just to get to the world stage for that hour of airtime. And you think it’s easy.

They are two really different things. I realised I got it all wrong. Goals are something you work towards it yourself but relationships can never be strengthened by oneself.

Goals are dead. It is always there waiting for you to get it. Plan your own path and make your way there in the shortest possible time. Nothing is going to stop you if you persevere. Simple as that.

Relationships, on the other hand, is like a clap. It takes two hands. The path to the top is created and walked by the people involved. It takes a lot of understanding, discussion, mutual trust to make it possible to reach the end point together. If one doesn’t like the path created by the other, one can choose to leave anytime.

The problem with me is that I tend to want control over them. Of course, the goal is not complaining cos it’s always there for people to grab. You lose your chance and somebody’s gonna take it away. ‘Reach for the stars’, cos even if you fail, most likely you will hit the sky.

Relationships don’t work that way. You reach for the stars and often you are going to be disappointed. Expectations without the other half knowing will definitely lead to disappointment. However, knowing your expectations will cause stress to the other half and will lead to unhappiness. So is the best solution not to expect anything to come out of it? Of course not. But I haven’t figured out where it might lead us to.

When people get together for a long time, they start to take each other for granted and forget about the little things in life that they used to enjoy having together. Surprises sometimes ends up surprising yourself.

“Let nature takes its course”, people say. But I believe in fate. Good night.

Yes, I know people here have got a lot of money to donate to the needy, ever more so in recent weeks as the Sichuan earthquake and Myammar cyclone amplified the fear that something can happen to us as well.

Have you ever realised sometimes what they need is something which money can’t buy? Money can be printed if you people have forgotten it is made of paper in today’s world and not gold. Can they spend the money you give them? Something has to be done in the process of converting your money into useful items for them, you know. And what happens in this process? None of us know except for the people holding your cash.

Please don’t get me wrong, I am not discouraging people to donate money neither am I saying people are corrupt (people are just money minded) cos we also know that money makes the world go round, and round. I grew up in a poor family. I know how important money is and I also know that money can’t buy you a lot of things as well.

So, in response to this, I gave something which a young and strong man like me can give for free.

I had been in this business of selling watches for a year and I really feel this business has come a long way… From making losses and feeling lost to record breaking sales and more innovation.

Kiat Haw started out on this alone with mediocre sales, but he was able to generate a tiny profit and pocket all of it himself. It was really kind of him to share this profitable idea with me, with the mind of utilising me (I knew it) but he agreed to share the profit with me. Seriously speaking, I was asked to do a business where the framework is already in place and the procedure all mapped out. My only job is to pack, post out and keep track of the accounts (it was really easy initially).

This whole idea started out as an aim to earn some pocket money and and push ourselves to think of even bigger money making ideas. There were many times where we felt like giving up and move on to selling some other things but we forced ourselves to innovate, to value-add on the simple product that we have. Indeed, we came out with something for the buyer but never got to use it as sales picked up again… Our aim was 3 a month and now we are moving towards double the sales.

Through this business, I learnt how internet selling works and the power of a sales copy. A sales copy is the words you write that sell. I learnt that the easiest way to get an idea across is to by words is to write as if you are talking to the person. It’s very true. People who use bombastic words don’t impress me. In secondary school our english teacher always asked us to KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) and the best way of communication is not showing the person how good in english you are, it’s how effective you relate to them.

From auctions to fixed pricing, from a useless accounting system to a reliable monthly cashflow statement, from a big parcel to a small box that costs half as much, and just today, we found the answer to the biggest question mark, adding value. We have really come a long way…
